• After school- A time for students to relax, hang out and get homework done if needed. Volunteer to student ratio: 1 volunteer to 8 students. Not programmed for the purpose of letting students enjoy themselves until our program begins at 6:30. We want to be sure parents know this is optional and completely separate from our Wednesday 6:30-8:00 program.
• Rock Solid program- This is programmed time where students are placed in groups with a small group leader by grade and gender. They will be with their leader the entire 6:30-8:00 time period. In this time they will play games, worship together and attend small groups.
• Sunday morning- Every Sunday at 9:45 we have junior high Sunday school in the portable buildings. The students are split up by grade.

Brandon and I just got back from New Mexico which was an awesome trip to M-Fuge Camp in Glorieta. There we attended camp and served the community of Santa Fe by Visiting Boy and Girl Clubs, Assistant living homes. It was a great trip and we look forward to doing it again next year.

The goal of this week is to share Christ's love with new people and encourage one another to grow in Christ! If you don't know who you are inviting yet start brainstorming! at the end of the 4 weeks, on friday the 22nd we will be heading to McDermont Field House in Lindsay. Anyone can come join us but the winners of the competition groups will go for FREE! The cost for everyone else will be $5 which includes gas and the entry ticket. More info as the time gets closer, but I hope everyone brings a friend and is ready for some BIG FAT FUN COMPETITIVE COMPETITION GAMES! Main Point: Who we are comes from our motives which start with even our unsaid thoughts.
Is it the thought that counts? (yes, in a way it is because what we do starts with our thoughts.)
Introduction: (a few weeks ago we learned about guarding our tongue in what we say. (Exp Matthew. Holding his tongue) This week we will talk about motives which may be words thought but not even said.
Can they be evil??? YES

Body:
James 4:1What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?
• Actions start with motives (pure or impure motives)

James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
• We don’t receive because we ask against God’s will

James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

• After school in the Armory on Wednesday 3:40. Rock Solid meets from 6:30-8:00
• Come join me at Tulare’s skate park on Thursdays at 4 p.m. To skate it up!
• Sunday morning worship at 8:30 and 11:00 in the Worship Center. Sunday school at 9:45
